The holiday farmhouse, "Il muretto" is situated in the heart of the Mugello only 38 km from Florence.
On the green slopes of Monte Giovi, at 500 metres above sea level it has a wonderful climate and magnificent views; the Mugello valley is in the foothills of the Tosco-Romagnolo Appenines.
Deep in the country side and surrounded by delightful scenery "Il muretto" is the ideal place for a quiet and relaxing holiday.
It is possible however to take part also in more energetic activities, excursions in the woods and surrounding valleys, on foot, by mountain bike or on horseback (there are stables only 2km away), swimming in the lovely pool in the garden near the apartments, or for the more lively, working on the farm.
The location of the farmhouse offers the opportunity for a cultural holiday too, with much of interest close by; the church of Barbiana, a few minutes walk away, old churches in the surrounding villages, the birth places of Giotto and Beato Angelico, and many museums in the area showing the local farming way of life in the past.

By car from Florence: exit from the motorway at Barberino di Mugello; reach Borgo San Lorenzo and then Sagginale; continue towards Vicchio and then turn right at the turn signed Barbiana; continue for about 3 kms to "Il muretto".
